Cool Idea… Does Your Farm Need an “AGwagon”

Farmers have very different needs than the average suburban homeowner, but the truck options they have to choose from are basically the same. While there are lots of aftermarket kits and accessories that truck owners can add themselves, farmers now have a new option –  purpose-built trucks for farmers and ranchers from Certified Ag Dealership and FOX Factory Vehicles.

Named the “AGwagon,” CAD says the truck is designed with input from farmers and ranchers. According to Pat Driscoll, CEO and founder of CAD, one of the first things their farmer consultants said they needed was a heavy-duty front end. That is a standard feature on the AGwagon, along with an advanced suspension lift system, rugged wheels, HD front and rear bumpers, two-way radio capabilities, proprietary easy-access bed steps at the rear and sides, and 360 degrees of high-intensity LED lighting.

The AGwagons will be assembled at the FOX Factory’s Trussville, Alabama, plant alongside the company’s Black Widow trucks. According to CAD, some of the components are custom-designed and manufactured by Fox Factory (shocks and steering stabilizer, among others), while others come from industry-leading brands such as BDS Suspension, FOX shocks, BF Goodrich HD Terrain tires, and ARB components.

While the standard features are engineered for agricultural toughness, there is also a wide array of upgrades and additional options available to fully customize the AGwagon to meet the specific needs of any operation. CAD is currently showing off an AGwagon built out on a Ford F-350 but Driscoll says it will be available in any domestic Super Duty or Heavy Duty truck from multiple brands.

Each AGwagon will come with the standard manufacturer’s warranties still in place and a concurrent 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty from Fox Factory on all the components they custom-designed and manufactured specifically for the AGwagon. As for cost, this will vary widely based on selected truck models and custom features, but the company offers to provide an estimate if you drop them a note.
