Sustainable farming is about more than just minimizing the impact on the environment. Taking care of the land to cultivate healthy soil and expand biodiversity results in the natural capturing of carbon, which helps to fight climate change while also contributing to better tasting and healthier food.
“Cooks Venture” is a new company building an alternative to America’s meat industry, delivering great food from independent, regional farms directly to consumers. Its core values include a commitment to true transparency and prioritizing the health of the land and the well-being of our workers. From poultry, beef, seafood, and more the company is focused on foods that are good for both consumers and the planet.
The company started on 800 acres of farmland in beautiful Northwest Arkansas. They then joined forces with third-generation poultry farmer Blake Evans and began growing their unique heritage chickens. They started to engage with regional crop farmers to grow feed using regenerative farming practices, while developing our chicken farm, hatchery, and processing plant to pave the way to a reimagined meat industry.
From there, the team began building relationships with cattle ranchers, pork farmers, and fishermen across the country. They help them to implement our systems to build soil fertility, sequester carbon, and create biodiversity. It’s good for the land, and it results in deeply flavored meat. Cooks Venture, is working to build an alternative to America’s meat industry, to deliver great food from independent, regional farms direct to consumers.
