NEW AgTech Helping Producers Boost Yield and Save Water

You do the math… data shows we are already using 70% of the global freshwater supply for ag irrigation, yet there are still an estimated 800 million chronically undernourished people in the world today. In other words, the world needs more freshwater to help maximize crop yield, but at the same time we need to save water and other scarce resources in a sustainable way.

A NEW company called “GroGuru” believes they have some answers. In an elementary explanation, they are helping farmers optimally irrigate their crops and make more money. GroGuru’s platform is based on soil sensors that measure things like soil moisture, temperature, and salinity and then wirelessly transmit that data to the cloud where it is used to make AI-based recommendations for farmers. It sounds somewhat similar to what we have going on with our friends at Autonomous Pivot i.e., helping to provide producers with solutions for increasing crop yield, while at the same time preserving water and other scarce resources in a sustainable manner.

You are invited to attend our webinar called “Sustainable Irrigation Management That Boosts Yield and Saves Water,” to be held Thursday, July 1st at 3:00pm CST featuring GroGuru, CEO, Patrick Henry. Register HERE
